Orange is good because when you top up with £10 you get 300 free texts and you can always use the 30 free texts online each month and 3 magic numbers and do you get 1MB of orange world too I think you do. And my phone was really cheap on Orange!
Virgin was good because they do good offers like once they did free texts all summer to other people on virgin and normally it's 3p, and they do loads like that and it's easy to set up online and everything and it was harder on Orange because it wouldn't work
I've heard O2 (NYSE: TEF) is good with similar things to Orange and o2 treats but I don't know what they are
what do you think is best and why? Or worst?

O2 give you free texts when you top up too, the same amount as orange I think.
You also get long weekends where you can call people for free.
Vodafone give you free calls and texts all weekend if you use £5 credit during the week.
Check out their websites and see what each has to offer. I'm on contract so not really sure of the best payg scheme.

sprint/nextel has given me and my boyfriend more problems than i can list here.
i've been a Verizon (NYSE: VZ) customer for a long time and i am very happy with them. very few problems and excellent reception, great phones, great plans, the list could go on and on.

To the person above me, what has her age got to do with anything?

Hmm anyway, I like Virgin, I've been with them for a few years now. Also for every £100 you spend on your phone you get £10 off your next. I suppose thats only good if you use your phone that much, I do though so its handy for me. Also the air-time bundles are good too. I'm on the one for 1500 texts for £36.

I was with O2 (NYSE: TEF) but switched to T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) recently. They do some good packages, especially if you want webnwalk too. Have a look on http://www.moneysupermarket.com/MobilePhones/default.aspx They list all the deals so you'll see which one's best for you. I spend £42.50 a month and get £180 credit and unlimited net access HTH
