Orange Mobile Contract?

I want to get a mobile phone contract with orange, however i have had financial problems in the past (4 years +) my credit file is now good and my score is 841. Am i right in thinking if i try to get a contract with them and i fail the credit check will they offer me the option to put a deposit with them to take the contract out???
Not sure if its just a rumor ive heard !!
