Default My sons mobile Sim card is not recognized by orange, I have tried to ring orange
with my phone, but failed I have tried to ring orange with my phone and my wifes phone but none of the numbers will connect. The lines are all dead.

Not sure if its brand new or not but this is worth a try anyway, Get an eraser, your son should have one, and clean the 'contact' side of the SIM, new or not it may be unclean then try re-inserting it. If this fails then try one of the numbers below. Of course this is all for UK based SIM's

07973 100450 For PAYG issues from none Orange phones

07973 100150 For PAYM issues from none Orange but if you can't get through on the other then call this one and explain the situation

0800 079 2000 This is their sales number but they may be able to transfer you across
