Default Can I activate used Cricket Phone with new plan contract?
I got a Cricket Phone from a friend. He no longer with Cricket. Can I used his phone to activate with new plan with Cricket service? How much am I expecting to pay upfront? Thanks

Sure. You should only have to pay the activeation fee. less than $30.

It really depends on what you are getting for service. The activation fees can run anywhere between $25 and $35. Next, you'll pay for your first month upfront. Then, the phone to be placed in you name is no problem. Cricket has a great unlimited service plan for around $50 a month, check it out. My 18yr old has it and he spends over 4000 minutes a month on it and the bill stays the same. Also he has no roaming, he has a nation wide service plan.
