A988 help

Just got my a988 , seems liek a nice lil phone except a couple issues.

1). Wont read my phone numbers off contact list. when i added a couple numbers it was fine. i then put it back into my razr v3xx and there were duplicates of the #'s i added.

2). I have loaded afew mp3's into it . It only seems to want to play 2 of them. When i manually select the others and hit play it plays one of the same 2. I shortened all the name lengths to 10 characters or less and kept the extensions. Yes, they are in mp3 folder.

3). Cant get on the internet. Anyone have the appropriate info to do this.\
My carrier is AT&T.
4).Minor issue.It says Cingular instead of AT&T on display.
5). Sometimes i have to hit the screen 2 or 3 times to get it to register with the stylus.Mp3 player liek to lag out when i hit the stop or next track button.

any help on these topics would be greatly appreciated!

i just got mine in mail 3 days ago. i just am finding out there is not going to be a way to get Multi Media Messages (pic or video) cause the configurations are not there to complete.
i have been trying to enter them manually sense AT&T cant help. that phone is not in there system to get me configurations. but i took notes on the networking configurations of my old phone and just tried to enter them manually. just a couple of thing are wrong. on some areas i need to enter a web address as a user name. so the phone does not let me enter the complete name. actually at the end where i have to put a dot com, i can only enter .co so there is no m.
also on the proxy at&t has words for a proxy and that phone is requesting numbers.
also i don't think we can send anything threw bluetooth. i have tried to send from my other phone and nothing.
Can you get your bluetooth to work?
if you find a place to get software for it let me know email me.
on the Internet connection i am almost getting the configurations. if i figure it out i will post it here or send to you.

I have a problem of charge in my phone
What is the problem?
I put my phone in charge and the battery is still off
i have no idea about the problem
went i put my phone in the usb cable the phone shut off
Went i turn on the phone it switch off
it a probleme of accu Or Cable charge or software or Firmware ?

AT&T Internet WAP Configuration
In many cases the standard IP proxy setting for AT&T does not work
for the A988. In this case the following settings are usually
successful.
From Main Menu, click on WAP icon
Select Edit Active Services:
Settings name = (set to whatever you like)
Homepage = CNN (device.home usually doesn’t work because it references files
in AT&T locked phones)
Primary Proxy = 66.209.11.61
Select Bearer Settings:
GPRS Access Point = wap.cingular (lowercase)
Authentication Type = Secure
User Name = WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM (UPPERCASE)
Password = CINGULAR1 (UPPERCASE)
Image Display = ON

For MMS access, from Main Menu, click on Messages icon
Select ->Messages setting ->MSG Setting->Connection Setting-> Edit active
MMS setting
Setting’s name = (set to whatever you like)
Home Page = http://mmsc.cingular.com
Proxies = ON
Primary proxy = 66.209.11.61
Secondary proxy = (leave blank) or use 66.209.11.32
Data bearer = GPRS
Bearer Settings:
GPRS access point = wap.cingular (lowercase)

User name = WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM (UPPERCASE)
Password = CINGULAR1 (UPPERCASE)
SMS Service Center number = +14047259015

As far as your mp3's go. You have to make sure the mp3 is setup right before the a988+ will read/play it. Your going to have to use a sound converting program. I used soundconverter for Ubuntu. More than likely you use windows so you might wanna use something like Pepsky Free Audio Converter at this url Pepsky Free Audio Converter Download - Softpedia
The default mp3 convertions settings is perfect(mp3, 128 k/bs,44100,100%, 2 stereo). Use this program to make your mp3's for your A988+

i just got my a988....and all i did was shorten the title of the song to about 15 letters and it works fine.....the same with videos
