HTC Hero or Palm Pre? Which is better value?

I will be switching to Sprint (NYSE: S) hopefully as early as the end of this week. I am considering getting the Hero or the Pre. Which phone is: most reliable, best browser, etc... Any input is appreciated. Note: Pre costs 150$ Hero costs 180$
