Pantech Matrix? or Other ATT Phone Reviews please!?

So I want a new phone...it's a long story,
I am through Att, and my two years isn't up. Can I still get a new phone, or another year?
And also, I only want to spend like up to 100$ on a phone...oh! And it has to Be Att. I am on a family plan. So I was wondering...
can it get a new phone?
is the pantech matrix a good phone (mostly texting)
or what is a good phone for mostly texting.
And under 100$ please (That can be after mail in rebate, etc.)
And is it different in store? Like if online it says 20$ mail in-rebate, is it the same in-stores?
