I have a Blackberry Pearl and my question is the phone keep turn off by itself, how

This is a discussion on I have a Blackberry Pearl and my question is the phone keep turn off by itself, how within the RIM (Research In Motion) forums, part of the Manufacturer Discussion category; do I fix it ? I don't remember what icon to go in to turn the function "off"...

It is probably a malfunction in the phone. I have a BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Curve and haven't had that problem. I was told the best way to avoid problems with Blackberry's is to turn them off once a day for roughly 30 minutes. I do a soft reset (take the battery out then put it back in) once every couple of days and this really helps. Try that and your phone will probably work better.

alot of my friend have the same phone. And after a while of them having it. the phone started to do the same thing. they had to go and get diff phones.

Return it to the provider....I have gone through 5 in the last year ! BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) phones are crap, try to trade it for a different type of phone.
