Default T-Mobile BlackBerry Curve Sunset?

i want to get a BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) but i been reading that it supports msn and aim etc but they charge for sms. so i dont understand if its better a sidekick ? because i'll be using msn and aim most of the time by paying 20$ a month unlimited and can be online 24/7.
so please someone help me out and decide beacuse im moving to T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) Sprint (NYSE: S) iss just too much i hate ittt. so i want to make sure i get all the goods form t-mobile plans thanks
