Default Does the web browser on Blackberry's slow down when you have little or no service?

I recently bought a BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Curve and the web browser seems to run very slow inside my house (where I only get about 1 bar of service), so I was wondering if I have full service, will the web browser run faster?
