Default Up to what size micro SD media card can a blackberry curve 8320 take?

I am the new owner of a BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) curve 8320 and I currently have a 256 MB mirco SD media card in it. I want to upgrade my memory but before I purchase a new media card I want to be certain that the phone can handle the upgraded size. I have read a lot of posts stating only 4GB cards should be used as most phone work the same and a select few that state the blackberry can handle 8GB. So can anyone tell me if it can and what is the difference between 4GB and 4GBHC? And is there a number I can call to find out this info myself.

2 GB's is the official supported max, however lots of people are able to use 4 GB's with no problems, and almost all 6 GB's with no problems.

As for HC format, from wikipedia:
Standard SD card capacities range from 4 MB to 4 GB, and for high capacity SDHC cards from 4 GB to 32 GB as of 2008. Announced at the 2009 CES a new specification (SDXC) (eXtended Capacity) will allow for 2TB capacity cards.

The format has proven to be very popular. However, a change in the format, while allowing capacities greater than 4 GB (SDHC), has created compatibility issues with older devices which cannot read the new format. Since SDHC format cards have the same physical shape and form factor as the older format, this has caused considerable confusion for consumers.[1][2] SDHC cards require an SDHC capable device firmware, generally not found with older devices.
