Will the new Blackberry BOLD work with Microsoft Exchange email?

I really want to get the new BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) Bold, but my IT dept said that it might not be compatible with our Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) Outlook Exchange server. The new BOLD has "Windows Live" - but is not a Windows Mobile phone. Someone help - I know nothing about this!
