...here in the philippines.? how can i reset my phone to be able to use the network here in the philiipines because it is in line with Rogers (NYSE: RCI) wireless co. in canada. in other words how to make it open line to other network to use here like smart or globe.

You need to unlock the phone. You can get the code from the curent service provider (rogers). Call there customer support and they should have it on file. if they dont have it or wont give it to you then you will need to take it to a phone repair shop and they can unlock it there. they may be able to do it there and then or you might have to leave it oin overnight. Either way it shouldnt cost much at all.

I hear there are websites that you can get unlocking codes from (unlocking codes are specific to each phone, no two phones in the world have the same unlocking code. Each phone has an IMEI number which you can find on the origninal packaging from the phone, it might be on the reciept and failing that you can enter *#06# into your phone which will tell you the IMEI . You will need to IMEI to find out your specific unlocking code). I dont know how trustworthy these websites are or if they are free or not but you have to be careful with unlocking codes, if you enter it in wrong you will 'over-lock' the phone and its a b!!tch to get fixed.
