How do you format the memory card on the Samsung Instinct?

I had all my music on a memory card that came with the phone, and i went to add more on it and i unplugg it and go to listen to it, and it's all gone. But i go the memory card's status on the computer, and it still shows all my music. But they won't show up on my phone.

Any Ideas?
