Samsung t339 phone , sd card problem?

Hi, I have a samsung t339 phone. I bought a micro SD memory card. For some reason, I cannot figure out how to use it. Like, I go to add a song to it and I try to set the song as my ringtone, and it says memory full on the phone. Howe is the memory full when there is a 1gb memory card in it? Also, How come some mp3 formatted files don't come up in my phone?

Basically, let me know how to use this card!
