Is the Samsung Glyde's touch screen really that bad?

I'm going to get a new Verizon (NYSE: VZ) phone soon and I have been looking at the Samsung Glyde as a potential option. However, every review I've read says that the touch screen is finicky and doesn't work well,
Is this true? Or do you get used to it after awhile?
