| If I were to buy an american iphone and then move to Japan will I be able to sign up with a japanese provider out there? Well I Should Be Moving To Japan In About a Year. + Need a new cellphone. I Have att and was hoping I could get an IPhone and just take it over there. Since My Husband Bought an IPhone over there using the Softbank (OTCPK: SFTBF) provider. Is It Really Hard jailbreaking an iphone? Or Is It the same as jailbreaking an itouch? |

| if you're savy enough to unlock the phone then you can use it with a provider that uses SIMs in japan, but with the current iPhone software through itunes you can't unlock yet. so, in that case, no. if you were just visiting you can get temporary packages to allow you to use the phone internationally, but if you're moving permanently that would really impractical. |
