Default Can I buy a cell phone on ebay to work with my existing Sprint plan?
My cell phone is broken and I really don't want to pay hundreds of dollars to replace it. If I "bring my own phone" to a Sprint (NYSE: S) store, say, one I bought on ebay, will they activate it for me (I know I'll probably have to pay an activation fee, right?)
For the record, I have Sprint's insurance plan but really don't want a refurbished version of this piece of garbage phone.

Being a CDMA network this is not as straight forward as if it was GSM.

You will have to look for a Sprint (NYSE: S) CDMA phone on eBay. Buying any GSM will not work as will a CDMA phone on another network.
