Sprint cell phone esn?

i just bought a new rant of craigslist and i called to make sure it wasn't stolen or lost and it was fine but when i called back later to activate it they said i couldn't because it is still associated with a different account of previous owner. how do i delete all ties Between the account and the phone?

You Can't I bought a brand new phone and i had the same issue the phone can only be sold with a bad esn now! Or you can have it flashed to metro pcs! Unless you know someone that works inside for sprint! they could do that but they could lose their job for that!

ps i even made sure the phone was not tied to an account ! i tried activating it and i can't cause they said the phone got activated 3 days ago? i was going crazy so ur best bet sell it on ebay with a bad esn try to get some of ur money back!
