sprint cell phones plz help?

Hello, I am a current Sprint (NYSE: S) plan user, I have a sprint lotus, and have decided that it sucks. A friend of mine gave me a sprint/Nextel 7100I blackberry, it requires a sim card, and the lotus uses CDMA, now how do i activate the blackberry, are they compatible to do so, can sprint give me a sim card to put in it, or did I waste 50 bucks on the phone, any help you can give would be awesome...

Sorry to say but you wasted your money unless you want Nextel (which has the worst service, to my opinion.) Sell it on Craigslist and then buy a Sprint (NYSE: S) Blackberry.

You can switch to a Nextel for free,you would have to pay for the sim card , but the 7100i is terrible compared to the lotus, i wouldn't recommend it.
