How do I go about installing this on the N73? I have the GPRS enabled. Would there be a different version for the Nokia (NYSE: NOK) N series?

Download the java application to your mobile.
Run the auto setup option. This will install the application specific to your handset.
Let me know if this worked.

Messmo has released the latest version of this software v1.1.51
This comes with new features like
conversation mode (sms are now stored as a thread)
better connectivity (it keeps checking if the connection has lost) and the concept of outbox has been introduced.

I have downloaded the messmo v1.1.51 on to my mobile.....now I have been a messmo user Its a really good mobile software application I have ever seen.

The one I loved so much was the Facebook feature.
I can access my facebook account by a single push of mobile button and can stay connected with my friends from anywhere at anytime

Nope, dude. You will not be charged for any sms. You can exchange free sms between any messmo users in any country.
messmo uses GPRS to send messages, so if the other person also has messmo then they can exchange sms for free.
Irrespective of their country.

I want to know how to send and receive SMS with attachment ?
