| I was thinking of using T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) prepaid cards with my monthly plan after being penalized for going over my limit. I do have the basic plan but it only gives me 75 whenever minutes(Mon-Fri) and 500 weekend minutes(Sat & Sun). The problem is with the whenever minutes I constantly go over the limit and have to pay $0.40 for each minute I go over. At once the bill came up at $123.23. With the weekend minutes I do have enough and have never gone over the limit. To solve this problem I was thinking of buying the prepaid cards when I am about to go over the limit that way the bill will come out cheaper. I have tried looking on their website and on yahoo answers but have had no luck finding an answer to my question. I also don't want to risk buying the $10 card since if it does not work that would be a waste of $10 since the store does not give a refund on those. |

| If you have a Flex Pay account, you can use the Prepaid cards. However, if you have a traditional account, you can not. If you are constantly going over your minutes, consider another plan. Add My Faves if you talk to five or less people the majority of the time-it would allow you unlimited calls to those five people, and your whenever minutes would apply to other calls. Or, just look at a plan that includes more minutes. You can view all of the plans at http://www.t-mobile.com. Just click on plans. Now, if you have a Flex Pay account, it is a plan but you pay for it ahead of time instead of after the fact. Once you use up your resources (i.e., minutes) then it would no longer work for that month, except on nights and weekends when you still have minutes, unless you were to use a Prepaid card to add more resources to your account until the next billing cycle begins. Unless you use a Flex Pay or Prepaid, do not purchase one of the cards-it will be a waste for you. Do go back to the site, though, and check out their other plans-you might be able to add more whenever minutes for only ten dollars or more a month. I hope this helps, and wish you the best! |
