T-mobile text messaging for family plan?

I was wondering if there was any way to get a cheaper plan than the $20 family plan where you get unlimited text messages for the entire family. Since only one of the three people in our family plan would use it, I was wondering if there was any way to get the $4.99 for 400 messages just for him or do I have to pay the $20?
To be more specific: I currently have a family plan with three phones and would like to add a text messaging plan for just one of the phones. Is this at all possible? Because after checking the T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) website it seemed as if the only text messaging plan available for families is the $20 one which gives you unlimited messages. The phone that I wish to add this text plan wouldn't use too many texts a month so I was wondering if they would allow a smaller text plan if I were to go to a t-mobile store or something.

yes you can just get the 4.99 for 400 text for him only.

i thing it would be better to keep the family plan if most of your family members text but if only one person in your family texts just get that person the $14.99 unlimited texting plan for one person
