Default ATT DSL setup with a wireless router?

My computer desk is nowhere near a phone jack, so I am wondering if I can connect the DSL modem to my Netgear wireless router without a direct ethernet connection to a computer, thereby connecting all computers in my home to the internet via the router?

Get rid of DSL. Dial up is the worst. The ethernet port on your modem that is going into the computer. Unplug from computer. Plug that into the router in port. Then use a seperate ethernet cord plug it into your out port on the router. Plug the other end into the port on the computer that you took out the other cord out of. Use the set up disk that came with the router and your done.
