Default I want to buy something for my laptop, someone said it was called ATT

wireless. i cant seem to find it online.? we have wireless here but the connection is really slow so i want to get my own wireless satellite to hook up on my laptop, i think they charge you every month and you get a bill, just wondered how that works and what to buy exactly, the exact name for it, i heard they were commercials on it on TV, i just want to buy something to put on my laptop that will give me faster wireless service, but since i never bought that before im not sure where to get it or what to get, i just want to get it right the first time so i dont have to buy another one, just what exactly do i get and where, id like to order online if they have it there.

At&t and all major cellular carriers sell wireless modems that either plug into a USB port, PC Card slot or built into some laptops that allow you to connect to the high speed wireless data network (no satellite connection). Plans average about $60/month for 5 Gigabytes of data per month.

AT&T, all major carriers, and some regional carriers offer wireless modems that either plug into a USB port, PC Card slot, or are built into exclusive network subscription based notebooks and netbooks. They allow you to connect (in most cases) to a high speed wiereless data connection via cellphone signal. They offer Edge ("slow" highspeed data GSM connection availible in most areas), EVDO ("slow" highspeed data over CDMA connection availible in most areas), 3G ("fast" highspeed data GSM and CDMA connection availible in some areas)
