Default Can I get an unlocked My touch 3g for ATT?

Can i buy a unlocked my touch 3g from say ebay or somewhere and still have all the features work? Would att be mad if they found out i was using one? Will i be able to download all the apps and go on the internet, fully working?

You can get an Unlocked MyTouch3G and use it on AT&T however, you will not be able to use AT&T's 3G network because T-Mobile's 3G bands are different than AT&T's 3G bands. So Edge is only option.

Yes, you can manually program the device to work on the At&t network but you won't get help from At&t directly since they don't sell/support the device officially. The device will not operate on At&t's 3G data network because T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) (and the device in question) uses the 1700 mhz frequency for 3G data and At&t does not. No issues for voice, text, picture messages. You would be able to utilize the At&t EDGE data network (a little slower than a DSL connection but faster than a dial-up internet connection). I suggest you check HowardForums.com in the phone forums for specific settings and advice.
