i have a cingular razor, but i want to switch to cricket. Will they activate the razor phone?

NO, they operate off of two different networks and if I not mistaken Cricket does not have a sim card.

Sorry, no. Cricket and Cingular use different basic technologies. From their website:
"You must have a Cricket® phone in order to use Cricket® service. Cricket® service uses a digital network that operates on Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) technology"

FYI, Cingular uses GSM (their phone is compatible with T-Mobile, however you may miss some features).
