Hi Guys, I used to have a Sprint (NYSE: S) phone that had this cool little news reader as part of the pre-installed software on the phone. Does any one know a good app for getting news and sports which I can download for my new At&T Palm (NSDQ: PALM) Centro? Thanks.

Why settle for "good"? when it comes to getting the latest sport scores. You need the best or else during March Madness your going to be throwing the phone because of the poor app you downloaded today...

I think you are referring to Pocket Express from Handmark. I used to have that on my Sprint (NYSE: S) Treo 700p. You can get the same application for your ATT phone as well from here : AT&T MEdia Mall ( This is from the ATT website )

Yes apenning, Pocket Express is the best and all phones should have it. I hate using bookmarks on a phone, Pocket Express makes it easy. Plus it's made by one of the best mobile application companies -- Handmark -- ekumar

Thanks for the Pocket Express recommendation. It enables quicker access to content than traditional WAP or Web Browsing. It is very diversified application, delivering Associated Press articles in a very easy to read format and intuitive interface. The Pocket Express blog called "Reds Blog" has great writing, is updated all the time and has become a part of my daily news digest. Supplementing the down time I have when waiting to pick people up and during transit. Of course specifically in relation to Sports, they deliver just the right amount of content. Apart from the obvious navigation issues when accessing a "traditional" sports website, information overload is not what I want on my small screen. Pocket Express delivers just the right Bite size of information. Anyone else looking for a great information deliver platform for you mobile device, check it out. There are features to help you out in many parts of life.

Glad I could be of help. I have been using Pocket Express for quite sometime and I can't live without it now. I check it every time I check email on my phone. I don't think Handmark can keep up with the number of times I hit update on my Pocket Express on my AT&T phone

I just found out that I can book tickets to movie through Pocket Express. So deliver great content in a simple and easy to use application of my phone. CHECK Get up to the date travel and weather information. CHECK Now also find out what movies are playing near you (it's location aware) and then buy them right there on your phone. ![]() ![]() ![]() That's three smiley faces for Pocket Express.
