Default Sony w580i how can I get my Cingular service plan to work with it?
Okay I am not the one who pays for my cell phone (or anything for that matter) so I need to stay with the service plan that I have, which is cingular. Now I am being told that the sony erricksons or whatever, require an AT&T plan to use. I was also told about unlocked and locked phones being different. I have no idea what that means, if it's unlocked can I just put my sim card in it? I don't want to drop 250 dollars and find that my sim card does not infact work with the phone.

Someone please explain to me if there is a way I can get a Sony Ericsson (NYSE: SNE) w580i cell phone for around 250 dollars, and use it with my current service plan of Cingular. (this may or may not be a dumb question but really I have no idea how cell phone plans and payment and companies of cell phones and all that jazz mesh together).
