Does IM for cingular/at&t count as MEdia or text messages?

 Does IM for cingular/at&t count as MEdia or text messages? If I get unlimited text messages, is that going to be a waste if I just want it for IMing? I thought as long as you didnt go to MEdia net to use it, it wouldn't use media, just texts. Could you please tell me only if you actually pay for the plans and know for a fact.  |

| yes. each IM counts as a text. your should get a high text or unlimited monthly plan add on. |
