is Telus high speed internet, cable or dsl?

Ok, so im getting Telus (NYSE: TU) high speed internet really soon. I was wondering, is Telus high speed internet, cable internet, or dsl internet? If it;s dsl internet, will i have a good connection while playing xbox live? Also, if someone else is on the internet, like facebook, can i still have a good connection while they are on facebook? Because my friends have Telus cable, im pretty sure its dsl, and they have really good connection on cod 4 and cod 5 on xbox live. Also, whats the difference between cable, and dsl?
