...pack from 3 mobile -4000 min free? I was using skypephone from 3 but i switched to Nokia (NYSE: NOK) n73 (unlocked - not from three) and installed skype software from http://www.skype.com/intl/en/ but not sure if i will be charged for data usage or from my cap for using this external software?

I don't know what the deal might be with 3 but one thing I know for sure, nobody gives you anything for free. Certainbly not when we're talking about a business. The more you use Skype on 3 the less you make phone calls on 3 and that means the less money they make out of you. Now that you have read this do you still think that 3 will let you use Skype for free? Skype is an internet telephony program, it needs internet to work with or, in mobile world, it need data transfer. You may have a data plan included or you may be paying for that data as you go, but at the end of the day you have to somehow pay for it. And thus, 3 can make sure to get some money out of you using Skype. Now, to be sure you know what you are doing, call 3's customer service and ask. If they tell you that it is free, it is. If not, they will tell you what your best options are to get Skype on your phone as cheap as possible.

Skype is completely free on all 3 handsets, as well as on handsets that are compatible with 3. Therefore, you should not be charged. One way to find out for certain is to drop in to a 3 store, pick up a free 3 sim, and put it into your N73. Do not buy any credit, as Skype doesn't need it. Sign into Skype and send some Skype messages/make some Skype calls. If those calls and messages go through, then you know everything is working as it should be. You can then return to using your original simcard and keep the free one as a spare, or pass it on to a friend.
