Ease of importing cell phone number from Tracfone to Virgin Mobile?

I am planning on switching my prepaid cell phone service from Tracfone to Virgin Mobile (NYSE: VM) based on more value for my money. Anyway, I want to keep my current cell phone number. Has anyone asked VM to import their number from another provider? How long does it take? What information do they ask for? And on the VM website, it says to have a bill handy for information that they will ask for. Being with Tracfone, I don't get a bill. So basically can anyone just give me an idea of what's going to happen?
