Hello I have a Lg Vx9100 Ev2 cell phone for Verizon (NYSE: VZ) but I do not have text messaging service and I do not want to pay for texting I have a micro sd card with the songs I want saved under the My sounds and My Music folders and I can play the music on the phone and I see the song I want as a ringtone under My sounds and it is under 30 seconds but it does not give me the option to set it as a ringtone.. How do I get this to work?
I do not have the owners manual..I have the Usb Data cable which allows me to connect the phone directly to the computer but it does not detect the phone..

Browse through your operating manual and make sure you didn't miss anything. There should be a section on setting up ringtones.

to answer your question: you can't save songs that are on a micro sd card as a sound or a ringtone, they're just songs.
