whats the best verizon cell phone for texting for its money?

I'm getting a new phone next week and ive been back and forth between the samsung u740, lg env orange, BlackBerry (NSDQ: RIMM) pearl, and blackberry 7130e

they all have a qwerty keyboard which is what i want, but the samsung seems to be the least durable but the best priced. the env is actually the most expensive after rebates but the phone i want the most. the blackberrys seem to be over the top but for 50 dollars less than the env they also make sense. Any problems with any of these phones would be appreciated, if not just give me your opinion on the best of the 4.

oh and i go to virginia tech so huge vt football fan which is why the orange env gets the nod over the silver one

I'm getting a new phone next week also and I'm getting the LG Voyager, it's a new env with a touch screen on the front that opens up for texting with a qwerty keyboard. It's $299 with contract but should be less with rebate and if you had a 2 yr. contract with Verizon (NYSE: VZ) that just finished, you should get a "New Every 2"(NE2) discount like I am also. It's released Wednesday the 21st,
