Verizon cell phone long distance question?

So I have the most basic Family Share Plan on Verizon (NYSE: VZ) (the one that's 69.99 with 700 mins). I have a friend that just moved to Kentucky. I live in MA. She's on a different network so would it cost extra for me to call her? Also, if I call Verizon through the 611 thing, do they charge for that?

It will not cost any extra for you to call her, it will only come out of your minutes since she is out of network.
