no, they operate under two different technologies, so there would be hassles.

As far as I know, they are. They are going to merge together to become the best cell company. Since almost all the other cell companies are merging together, they want to do it too. Nextel with Sprint, At&t with Cingular and now it will be Verizon (NYSE: VZ) & Tmobile. The two best cell phone companies together.

no.....Verizon's in talks with Qwest..and i believe T-Mobile (NYSE: DT) bought out suncom.

AT&T did not merge with Cingular, Cingular changed its name to AT&T. It is still the same company, same service, same everything, different name.

Where do you people come up with this stuff? Post some links to your information.
