 I have cell service through Verizon. We have the text message plan.? Can I text internationally or will it eat up my minutes or cost me a heap of money? i am just curious. I have a friend who is serving in Iraq and we don't chat that much online but he always has his cell on.  |

| I don't have Verizon (NYSE: VZ) but with most cell companies if you are calling or texting him and his cell is local number for your area it wont cost you anything more then calling any other friend that lives local. It would be his account that would get the charges because he is roaming all the way to Iraq he would have to get international plan not you. But if he has a local Iraq plan then it would be both of you that gets the crazy charges and have to get international plan |
