Send A Email To My Verizon Cell Phone.?

ok i wanna send email to my Verizon (NYSE: VZ) cell phone so i sent a text to my email and got my phones email address.... its like mynumber@vzwpix.com, does that mean i have to go to vzwpix.com, on my phone or what ???? cuz i didnt get anything after it sent PS. i have e lg env
