Can you have more than five cell phones on a family plan in Verizon?

My family has four phones on a family plan and are two year contract has ended so we all want to get new phones. and there is six people in my family and we all need a cellphone because of sports and such. so can you have more than five cell phones on a family plan in verizon?

a family plan can only consist of 5 phones, although you do have other options, you can take one phone that uses a lot of minutes and put it on its own standalone plan (on the same account) and take the remaining 5 phones and share the family plan minutes. or you can split off into 2 different family plans depending how your family uses the phones. most people like to have the most used phone on its own plan, then have a family plan with 5 phones and enough minutes to suit them
