What will happen to Alltel prepaid and regular cell phones when Verizon takes over?

I searched for quite some time on Google (NSDQ: GOOG) and couldn't find my answer.

Will someone with Alltel prepaid (and regular) cell phones still be able to use them when Verizon (NYSE: VZ) takes over Alltel at the end of the year?

uuhhhmm, i have an Alltel regular phone.
They should've sent you a letter in the mail explaining what will happen.
you keep your regular cell phone until your contract runs up.
Then you would get another phone as usual but you will have more phones to choose from.
you could pick some old Alltel phones or even pick a Verizon (NYSE: VZ) phone
(it won't matter because they'll be under the same contract when you resign it)
And you'll also get to keep My Circle

So noowwwww, all Alltel and Verizon customers will have more phone options AND have My Circle.
Works out pretty fabulous for mee

oh and uhhm, Verizon is NOT "taking over" Alltel

they are JOINING FORCES.
That's why we get to keep My Circle AND Verizon phones.
