I'm having problems with my virgin mobile Shuttle phone?

I just got this phone and it seems to have a few quirks...I was wondering if these are things that can be fixed by switching the settings around or if my phone is just screwed up.
First of all, whenever I'm talking with one person and I get an incoming call, it seems to automatically switch lines on me.
Secondly, sometimes when I slide open the phone to take a call, it hangs up on the person.
Thirdly, sometimes when I answer, it is automatically on speaker phone and when I try to turn the speaker phone off, it doesn't do anything.

Any help is appreciated! I suppose I should probably just call Virgin mobile about this....
