Windows Mobile 6.5 Upgrade Question?

I have a HTC Touch Pro 2 (Sprint) WinMO 6.1 Microsoft (NSDQ: MSFT) said there is an update coming to upgrade to WinMO 6.5 however HTC said they don't know if an update is coming or even if I would be able to so I am confused now??? Does anyone know for sure if this update will be aval?
