With my phone, it sends me a message that says I have a new MMS, then I have to press download before it actually retrieves the message. I deleted the notification message from Deleted Items but never downloaded the actual MMS from the network.
I called Verizon (
NYSE: VZ) and they said they'd do what they can but said there was only a small chance. Of course if I was a cop then I would have access to every MMS/SMS or phone call I ever made or received throughout my entire life.
I have CEMAIL.VOL backed up (after the deletion, unfortunately), and I'm assuming that this file retains the deleted data until it is overwritten by another message. Keep in mind that I didn't download the message from the network yet, so it's still there and not on my phone. Unfortunately, I need to get that notification message back as I have no other way to download the MMS from the network. Messages that aren't downloaded expire after 5 days, which will be less than 2 days from now, so if I can do anything, I'll have to do it soon.
This message was the last thing my ex-girlfriend had to say to me. Might be something nice, but it's probably just a parting shot. Tried calling her already but she never called back, so I'm just going to leave it at that. Yeah, I could live without knowing, and there's no use in tripping if I have no recourse. I'm not going to see her ever again and it's actually better that way. But if I had the chance to see what she said, then I would take that chance, you know?
