I have a Windows Mobile Pro 6.1 smartphone that is having issues with downloading

Yahoo email? I have an HTC Touch Pro 2, and it intermitently downloads ALL my emails from my Yahoo Inbox (10 years worth), even though the phone setting says to download only 7 days. I have had this happen 3 times in about a month. Verizon (NYSE: VZ) tech support says it is a Yahoo server issue, because the Yahoo server pushes the mail down to the phone. Anyone else have this problem, or know a possible solution.
